My brother, Russell, has died in an accident. It's impossible to believe... hugs to Greg and Janet and Gay and Gus and Gem... also to the rest of the family. I LOVE YOU ALL!

I connected to your blog from the comments on Janet's blog. I just spent the afternoon going through Janet's blog and reading Russ's comments... and crying. I can't believe it. I made this sort of "instant blog" as a place for those of us who are far away to post 'whatever'...

There's some pics there you might enjoy. I don't remember if we ever met... I'm a friend of Russ's going back to junior high in Palo Alto (!!) And we've been in touch again for the last several years... I even have a binder I started with all his wonderful emails he sent out about his hikes.
