Our adorable dog and cat (who must remain nameless because of internet identity thieves who go through people's Blogs to find out the name of their pets)... It was 111 degrees today, recorded while driving 65 on the freeway. YUCK!

August 23, 2008... Ron Duke wins the Bomber Trophy Dash and presents his trophy to Elizabeth Ann Webb! We were at the Bob Webb Memorial Archer Trucking Night at the Races at the Ukiah Speedway and a surprise 50th birthday party for Nancy Hendricks... such a great night!

Fort Bragg Baby Deer...

These two deer were in Fort Bragg right next to a sand pile at the coast. Jeff had to look at a job, and we parked out here for the peace and quite while he worked on a bid. It was so nice to be near the ocean... The deer were so close, and didn't care about us being there until we turned the car OFF... oh well.

My brother Russell...sad news.

My brother, Russell, has died in an accident. It's impossible to believe... hugs to Greg and Janet and Gay and Gus and Gem... also to the rest of the family. I LOVE YOU ALL!

AAAAGGGGHHHH... August already!

It's hard to believe we're into August already... this year is zooming past. I learned a new card game last night, but can't remember the name. It's a Mexican card game for three people. Did you know there are no 8's, 9's, or 10's used in a deck of cards from Mexico? Me neither. Did you know the play goes COUNTER clockwise in Mexico? Me neither. We had a lot of fun, and Noel, Elmer, and I made a LOT of noise... Hiram, Ignacio, and Lupe played dominos. Jeff and Micky watched the campfire and relaxed. Che and Carlos have gone home, so the house is almost empty! (Yes, that was meant to be sarcastic).
